IT’S ALL ABOUT THE CASTLE

Seriously, if you could live in a castle, would you? In my early teens, we’re talking thirteen, maybe fourteen, I designed a way to remake the homes of my entire neighborhood into little castles. Wildwood, my neighborhood, was pretty much cookie-cutter designed. They flipped the design every other house so the layouts alternated. Still, they were basically rectangles. I figured one could build, at each corner, a  tubular castle-like turret and improve the entire place! The only person who really liked my ideas and drawings was my Aunt Judy, who encouraged a lot of my stuff. Today, sadly, my house still has no turrets, but – it is my castle!
