MIGRATING CAN’T BE EASY!

Here, I introduce one of the most fun characters to draw. He’s is based on an actual duck that landed in our back yard with a broken leg, when I was in my early teens. My dad splinted the duck’s leg and he stayed with us the entire season. His mate returned on the next migration and she stayed for several weeks before leaving, and he joined her, departing our family… I think I saw a small tear in his eye as he flew away…. migrating must be hard.
