THE EARLY WORM

It turns out Mark Twain did not care for fishing when he grew older. He fished often as a youth, but at an advanced age he decided he didn’t want to watch a creature struggle for life. Fair enough, right? Anyway, the quote about the worm here – I made up. He never phrased it this way, but I wanted his “voice” in the strip to at least sound a bit authentic.
