My older relatives would often predict the weather, particularly rain. It usually involved a complaint sounding something like this:

“Oh, man, it’s gonna rain cats and dogs, ya’ll. My knees are a-acting up!”  Remarkably, they were right more than the weatherman! (of course this was before Doppler radar!)
